It's been a while....

A month to be exact. I looked at the calendar and just can't even believe we are already in March. Didn't we JUST celebrate New Years?  Anyhow, this month has been extremely hard for us. We lost our son last year on March 2, 2010.  We went up to the beach on what would have been his first birthday and released a balloon to the Heavens for our sweet baby boy.

I've also been busy with school and with childcare. I've been taking care of a special needs baby. I absolutely LOVE taking care of that sweet baby girl.  The only downfall is that she lives two hours away, so when I go to her house, I have to leave my house at 530am and then I don't get home until after 10pm. The good news is that I only do that a couple of days a week and am compensated very fairly for my time and reimbursed for my gas as well. ☺ Plus, I get to spend time holding a sweet baby all day long.  It's a dream job.

Jenna and I have not made any TTC updates on YouTube since our BFN.  Basically the only update I can give you is that we took the month of March off and are going to back to the doctor in April to start another cycle.  I'll definitely keep you posted on the progress of our 8th cycle.

Wedding bells are in the air. I think I want to plan our wedding already. We've been engaged for almost a year, together for 6 years and why not just get married this fall?  Well, technically, in FL same-sex marriage is not recognized, so we will be having a "commitment ceremony". ♥

That's about all I can update you on for now. I won't wait another month before writing again. Promise.

For the last few months, our life has been extremely challenging. My Story; Our Story

My Story. On November 30, 2000, I moved to Florida from my beloved city of Chicago. I never wanted to leave Chicago, but my family moved in June of the same year and I just couldn't be so far away from them. Reluctantly, at the age of 23, I packed up my belongings and moved.  It wasn't easy. I left a boyfriend, great friends, cousins, and a killer salsa scene behind.  The transition was awful.  West Palm Beach, Florida was incredibly 'slow' for my liking.  When I first arrived, I expected to see a horse drawn carriage trotting down the street. I was a city girl and I loved the fast pace of the big city life.  Florida just didn't feel like "home" to me.  I spent New Year's Eve alone that year in my mother's home crying in the bottom bunk of my brothers' bedroom just fantasizing about what all of my friends were doing up North.
